硬性条件不满足:The position requires a master's degree in physics, applied physics, nanoelectronics or a comparable discipline; a biomedical sciences background does not satisfy this disciplinary requirement, and the JD's core work (semiconductor qubit fabrication, cryogenic spin-qubit measurement, quantum control) sits outside the candidate's field.
评分理由
The strongest available signal is negative: the project demands solid-state physics/nanoelectronics competence (germanium spin qubits, cryogenic measurement, quantum control), a paradigm with essentially no methodological overlap with biomedical wet-lab training. The disciplinary entry requirement for the master's degree is a hard filter this candidate does not meet, and the 'solid-state quantum computing experience' item — though only a preference — would not compensate. No transfer path exists from the candidate's experimental toolkit to the project's core platform, so shortlist risk is effectively disqualifying. · 迁移评估:Not transferable: wet-lab biomedical/cell-molecular methods do not map onto semiconductor device fabrication, cryogenic electrical transport measurement and qubit control.

Come join QuTech and create the Quantum Future! Job description After a successful first hire for this research topic. We are looking for a second candidate to join the Veldhorst group as a PhD researcher. The Veldhorst group is a pioneer in quantum computing and simulation in germanium. They have demonstrated the first single-hole qubit, enabled two qubit logic in germanium, executed quantum algorithms on a four qubit quantum processor, realized baseband control of single spins, and demonstrated entanglement between remote spin qubit registers using spin shuttling. As a PhD researcher, you will explore new opportunities in semiconductor quantum technology and work to push the boundaries of quantum control in semiconductor qubits. The Veldhorst group is a dynamic group studying timely topics. Near term projects include: developing novel semiconductor qubits with superior performance, scaling semiconductor qubit systems, and investigating multi quantum well structures for higher dimensional quantum systems. The Veldhorst Group is a diverse and international team, bringing together people from different backgrounds and cultures in a collaborative environment dedicated to advancing semiconductor quantum technology. Inclusion and diversity are core values at QuTech, and Menno is a strong ambassador for both. In recognition of his efforts, he received the WIQD (We in Quantum Development) Inclusive Leader in Quantum Award 2026, which honors leaders who foster inclusive environments, support diverse talent, and promote a sense of belonging within the quantum community. Requirements You have a master’s degree in physics, applied physics, nanoelectronics or comparable discipline at the time of taking on the position. Prior experience in solid-state quantum computing, including but not limited to spin or superconducting qubits is appreciated but not required. Doing a PhD at TU Delft requires English proficiency at a certain level to ensure that the candidate is able to communicate and interact well, participate in English-taught Doctoral Education courses, and write scientific articles and a final thesis. For more details, please check the Graduate Schools Admission Requirements. TU Delft (Delft University of Technology) Working at TU Delft means contributing to solutions that really make a difference. For over 180 years, we have been training engineers who make an impact worldwide in companies, government bodies, or as entrepreneurs. Our alumni turn knowledge into concrete solutions for the challenges of today and tomorrow. These challenges are changing rapidly. That is why we focus on themes such as energy, climate, digitalisation, artificial intelligence (AI), and smart mobility every day. Our education and research are directly aligned with what society needs now and in the future. At TU Delft, our people make the difference. With their knowledge and curiosity, our staff provide a high-quality education and conduct pioneering research that extends beyond the campus. You will have the opportunity to take the initiative, work with others, and grow as a professional. Working at TU Delft means join an international community of professionals and students. Together, we create knowledge, innovations, and solutions that help move the world forward. QuTech At QuTech, we work on radically new technologies with world-changing potential. Our mission: to develop scalable prototypes of a quantum computer and a quantum internet by integrating world-class research and groundbreaking innovation. Through excellence, relevance, and leadership, we cultivate a vibrant quantum technology ecosystem. Conditions of employment Doctoral candidates will be offered a 4-year period of employment in principle, but in the form of 2 employment contracts. An initial 1,5 year contract with an official go/no go progress assessment within 15 months. Followed by an additional contract for the remaining 2,5 years assuming everything goes well and performance requirements are met. Salary and benefits are in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities, increasing from €3204 - €4051 gross per month, from the first year to the fourth year based on a fulltime contract (38 hours), plus 8% holiday allowance and an end-of-year bonus of 8.3%. As a PhD candidate you will be enrolled in the TU Delft Graduate School. The TU Delft Graduate School provides an inspiring research environment with an excellent team of supervisors, academic staff and a mentor. The Doctoral Education Programme is aimed at developing your transferable, discipline-related and research skills. The TU Delft offers a customisable compensation package, discounts on health insurance, and a monthly work costs contribution. Flexible work schedules can be arranged.
